Once upon a Papery ...
At Parkside Papery, every card begins with a photograph—and a prayer.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawn to the beauty in small details: a flower in bloom, a hidden architectural flourish, sunlight spilling through trees. With my camera in hand, I began capturing these moments as a way to slow down and see the world more fully. Over time, I realized these images weren’t just pictures—they were stories waiting to be shared.
That’s how Parkside Papery was born. What started as a creative outlet has grown into a labor of love, combining my photography with the timeless art of handwritten notes. Each card is handmade, carefully mounted on textured cardstock, finished with whimsical words, wrapped in tissue and glitter, and prayed over before it leaves my hands. I don’t mass-produce, and I never plan to. Every card is as unique as the person who will send it, and as meaningful as the one who will receive it.
In today’s world, where so much is digital and disposable, I believe handwritten connection still matters. A card can be kept, cherished, and revisited—long after a text message is forgotten. My dream is to remind people of that magic: that words on paper, sent with love, can make someone feel remembered, seen, and deeply valued.
Parkside Papery is more than paper and ink—it’s heart, prayer, and connection folded into every creation. My hope is that each card sent out into the world carries a little light, a little love, and a reminder that in a fast-paced, digital world, we still need each other.
Welcome to Parkside Papery. I’m so glad you’re here.
